Born in 1982, Patrick Morrissey grew up in Andover, Massachusetts and studied literature at Harvard and the University of Chicago. He is the author of three books of poetry: The Differences (Pressed Wafer, 2014), World Music (Verge, 2017), and Light Box (Verge, 2023). From 2014 to 2016, he was the poetry editor of Chicago Review, and in 2020, he was awarded a Howard Foundation Fellowship in poetry. He lives in Chicago and teaches at the University of Chicago.
